If you're looking to escape the Central Texas tree pollen, consider a trip to Port Aransas on the Texas coast. Port Aransas is a port town that was established in 1888. Early-on people would call it Tarpon or Ropesville but over time has become known as the fishing and resort community it have become today. Port A is now fairly established with shops, restaurants, fishing charters, dolphin watching and excursions to San Jose Island.
There's a lot of fun in the sun activities whether fishing or just spending the day at the beach. But if you're an allergy sufferer, going to Port A might be a good change of pace, to escape the pollen and breath in the fresh salt breezes coming off the coast. If nothing else, a change of pace and a change of mind.
